During the project, we completed a full house rewire, installing new circuits and wiring throughout the property along with additional power sockets to suit modern living. We also fitted new energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the house, fully rewired the kitchen, and installed wiring for the new extension and garage.
A key part of the project was the fuse box upgrade. The existing consumer unit was an old fusebox with BS3036 re-wireable fuses and it was replaced with a new 18th Edition compliant consumer unit, complete with integrated surge protection and individual Type A RCBO protective devices. This provides improved electrical safety, greater fault protection and easier identification of any circuit issues, while meeting the latest requirements of BS 7671.
The photographs show the installation during the rewire and the completed consumer unit once all circuits had been installed, tested, labelled and commissioned. Once the installation was complete, every circuit was fully inspected and tested before issuing the appropriate electrical certification.
