Precision Electrical Services has supported Princess Alice Hospice with a number of electrical projects over the past few years. As a local commercial electrician based in Elmbridge, we were recently asked to help upgrade areas of their existing fluorescent lighting.
Some of the existing lighting was becoming dated and the light levels were quite poor. As part of the commercial LED lighting upgrade, we installed new circular LED panel lights within the ceilings, along with modern suspended LED luminaires. The aim was to improve the quality and level of lighting while also reducing energy use and the ongoing maintenance associated with older fluorescent fittings.
The project also included new emergency lighting and illuminated emergency exit signs. We made alterations to some of the existing lighting controls, removing conventional switches in cupboards and toilets and installing motion detectors instead. This means the lights operate when the areas are being used, rather than being left switched on unnecessarily.
The completed LED lighting installation has provided brighter, more modern lighting while helping to reduce energy consumption and future running costs. The new fittings also give the areas a much cleaner and more up-to-date appearance.
